Alright then..
I have been waiting so long for this book and was so so grateful when the ARC landed on Sunday morning. I had been praying for an early ARC as to avoid the dreaded Monday blues.

But now that I have devoured it, it's time to talk aboot it.
..

The story start with a rather heart stopping prologue and then we get a glimpse of Elena's mastery as she tells the tale of Alejandro's tragic past. It was amazingly written and had me crying. Fast forward to him growing up and amassing a fortune and then stumbling upon Solimar..the daughter of the man Alejandro has sworn to destroy painfully.

The chemistry between these two was absolutely fantastic there is no denying that. It was too good.


However I didn't get to warm up to Solimar .. She was just meh,okay.
Anyhoo, so goes on Alejandro's quest to destroy those who wronged him and then those who wronged Solimar. I am not gonna lie, I was a tad bit annoyed as I was under the impression that this was gonna be an arranged marriage trope (hence the excitement) but yeah that's not the case.. But the story itself was too good so I guess I can ignore that.. But I was and still am a little miffed since the blurb was rather cryptic and I saw the arranged marriage tags with this book.. So I am a little annoyed..



But hey, Elena is a fantastic author and this story delivered everything. From drama to action to crazy chemistry so I can't whine and complain. It's all good. I enjoyed this as I found myself anticipating book after a long time. I have been in a book slump and simply re-reading oldies for quite sometime now. This story really delivered.
